Crogging

I should have known it was only a matter of time until I would figure out a way to turn crutching into an interesting activity. Over the past month I've been experimenting with different "strides" and have had a small amount of success. The fact that the bad leg can handle body weight has helped facilitate things a bit, but the breakthrough came when I separated each crutch's swing forward (something I accidentally stumbled upon quite literally). Last week's time for the mile was 16:56. Today I clocked in at 15:04. Not bad. It would be awesome to get into the single digits.

I also started looking around the internet for more inspiration.

That amputee guy looked way fast. I wonder how long he can sustain that. Very cool.

The second video was terrible, i found no inspiration in that, except the music of course. Also i reckon the fixator adds a unique challenge to the situation. Just as the kung fu guys always carried the big jugs of water with their arms all the way out and a dagger attached under their arms so that they would not let the jugs go down. Maybe you should attach razor blades to the fixator.
